english is one of the most difficult languages to master because it makes no fucking sense most of the time.

double-meaning
intangible
exaggerated
figurative
slang
sarcastic
overused
ironic
cultural/societal/circumstantial context
thinking about the literal meaning of the words we say often makes it difficult to communicate and be understood the way we wish to be. thoughts from my brain that won't get out of the way for more important things.
