Eating lots of food without feeling guilty

I've gotten three four text messages and one phone call so far today bearing some version of thanksgiving greetings. It would be rude not to answer and/or reciprocate, but I feel like an idiot when I send a text just to say "happy thanksgiving."

Mom has already cried once. She was asking me if I feel like she made me the neurotic perfectionist I am today and apologizing, but I think she was really just crying because today is my grandma's birthday.

It's pretty amazing what qualifies to my stupid drunk brain as appropriate behavior. I'm mortified.

I've never seen Hoosiers, but I think I should watch it and then maybe I will like sports.

I'm going to go make some green bean casserole.

Also, I need a nap.
