whether i like it or not, i probably will not be sleeping tonight.
EDIT 7/30, 5:41 am
i was right, i haven't slept. i haven't been sleeping. i think i'm almost all packed, or at least packed enough to finish it tomorrow, but now it's too late to go to sleep because i'm supposed to get coffee with jenn in less than an hour.
i keep thinking about a client i had today (yesterday i guess) and how she talked about her job and her family. she was one of the most nurturing and compassionate people i've encountered in awhile. leah: she knows chandler!
since i don't have time to actually sit down and practice anything, i've just been listening to the songs over and over. the lyrics make me feel kinda weird in a way i can't explain.
i don't know how i'm going to function on two hours of sleep since monday. i don't know when i'm going to learn these parts. i don't know how any of this is going to work out. at this point, i'm becoming very afraid of the crash.
the backyard is still covered in the red-orange tube flowers. they remind me of thistles. you see this spot of color and step up to see the bloom, only to find out that something ugly has tricked you.

and those flowers sound like trumpet vine, heralder of kansas summers.
Is the title of your blog a reference to the zombie's song? If so, that rules. That's one of my all-time favorite songs. If not, it is still a good blog name.
it is! i love that song so much (and this really has been our year).
